Looking for some whitewater while avoiding white-knuckle rapids? The 3 hour Upper Half Day trip is perfect for families, first-timers who are timid, or for those who aren’t strong swimmers – especially in June when we have high water. Enjoy fun rapids such as Hilarity Hole, Screaming Left, and Killer Fang. These rapids offer plenty of splashes and relatively easy navigation without the challenge of long rapids like the Mad Mile. This trip is packed with splashes and smiles!

My husband and I came up here for our honeymoon and decided to go Whitewater rafting and ziplining. Everyone here at Montana Whitewater was amazing! Grant and Sage were both so fun when we went zip lining over the river. We had an absolute blast! And when we came back after lunch to go white water rafting, our guide, Elizabeth, was amazimg. We fully intend to return later this summer to do it all again! Amazing staff, amazing memories, just an all-around amazing experience! Very kid and family-friendly, I highly recommend! Thank you guys and we will see you again very soon! Newlyweds, T & K

From the moment I made the reservation for our rafting trip, I experienced nothing but kindness, smiles, and positive attitudes. Our guide, Merv, was exceptional. He provided a lot of information around the surrounding areas and lots of humor as we paddled downstream in the freezing rain. I would definitely recommend Montana Whitewater to anyone looking for a great time on the Gallatin River!

We did a half day less challenging rafting trip in the middle of June. The weather was perfect and the river was flowing really nicely. We had a family group with kids ages 9, 13, and 16. Everyone had a really good time. The lines for getting equipment were well organized and the guides were professionals. They were doing a good job keeping everyone safely socially distanced from each other. The river is right along the highway but I actually only saw and heard the cars one time during the 90 minutes on the river. Our rafting guide was Becca and she was really nice. I highly recommend this rafting trip.
