First off, this has been a bucket list item of mine for a very long time. My favorite animal is the jellyfish, especially the bioluminescent ones. When I heard my family vacation was going to be in Kissimmee, Florida, I knew I was going to have to make this happen. I talked to Josh who was very informative and he also said that since the time slot I wanted already had people signed up, I would be able to go solo. I signed up for the Clear Bioluminescent Kayak Tour and was greeted by Clint and Ashley. They were great guides and although the dinoflagellates weren't particularly glowing (bright moon, lots of rain), I was most excited when Ashley showed me a Comb Jellyfish. That is what I truly wanted to see and Clint shouted out that there were a bunch near him. Off I went with my happy, little heart and scooped several up to see. It was amazing. At the end of it all I was completely soaking wet and was very glad for my waterproof pouch for my phone and my towel that I left in my car. It was a stupendously, awesome experience and I recommend it highly. Do your research, find out the seasons and check the weather around the times you wish to go. So....Much....Fun!!! Nikie in Texas

Your company charged quite a bit for your clients to ride in a leaking profusely kayak! No lights on the Vest! The guide stayed so far ahead you couldn’t hear him. I suggest you invest in some portable Portable microphones. I brought a friend along, hoping she would have a good experience. I would not suggest your company again until you improve your product and tour. That is a liability with leaking kayaks.

Hello ma'am. Thank you fo rpaddling w/Florida-Adventurer. We apologize you felt the experience was not what was expected. So reading over your review you had mentiuoed that you didn't have a light on your life jacket. Every lifejacket has a flashlight on it. Prior to launch , the guides check every jacket for working flashlights and will replace non-working lights. its totally possible your flashlight just died whbile you were on the water. It's not a biggie as every guest has a flashlight and there are 2 guests in each boat. The sole perpose of the flash light is to let motorized boaters know we're there as they're passing by. Your partners flashlight would have sufficed, however there is rarley , if ever , boat traffic at kiwanis island at night. In response to your microphone and speakers suggestion, we provide a 15 minute orientation to bring everyone up to speed onn the basics of paddling a kayak. Most people think they know how to paddle and will not take the orientation seriously. Well paddling ina tandem is different than paddling a single by yourself. It requires team work to make the dream work. When guest fall behind, it 999% because there is someone who isnt paddling properly w/thier paddling partner. So we do not need to use speakers and microphones in the peaceful serenity of the refuges we paddle on, we just paddle together and talk peacfully to the guests so as not to disturb the wildlife arounds us. As for the leaky kayak, its unfortunate that your kayak was slightly leaking, these kayaks are used everyday and when they go, they go, we have no advanced notice. The water is 2'3 ft deep, if anything we'd have had you disembark and wew ould have dumped the water pout off the kayak. TBF the guides tours notes staqted they could not find a leak. Water will come off the paddles and accumulate in the clear kayaks since they do not self bail the wate out of them. This water wil acuumulate and possibly slosh around if you are not paddling properly. So fortunatley it sounds like there was just water acumulating from your paddles. At any rate we appreciate you paddling w/us and we look forward to seeing you again!
