The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall. This tour combines an incredible stretch of exciting and continuous rapids with some of the most breathtaking scenery around.

Our guide Matt was very experienced. Roy is a great driver. They take you from Asheville to the starting spot in a van. About 1.5 hours on the water with nice crisp Class 111 rapids. Lots of time to relax and take in the scenery. Incredible. Our trip included rain the entire trip which we felt made it even better. Would do it again.

This was an awesome experience. We were first timers and a little nervous. Jake was our guide and he was very personable and knowledgeable of the rapids. I highly recommend this company and this excursion. We will do it again!

Great experience! The staff was amazing and made the rafting trip enjoyable. The craft beers after the rafting trip was also a great perk!
