Our trip down the Kenai was absolutely awesome! JJ put us on the best Rainbow Trout I've ever caught and did so with a wonderful attitude. Some guides can fish, some can make conversation, but he is great at both. The wildlife was abundant that day and the scenery unbeatable. I highly recommend this outfit to anglers of all skill levels and plan to revisit very soon.

After 3 different fishing trips and guides while visiting Kenai, a full day of backtrolling with JJ was my favorite! The river is beautiful and the surrounding scenery was incredible! We fished from his boat, and made plenty of stops along the way, all while catching lots of fish! JJ was super friendly, polite, and professional. He was super knowledgeable and helpful to all of us in our group. We’re not die hard or experienced fishers and he made sure everyone felt comfortable and was having a good time. I suppose if you’re going to spend 8hrs on a boat with a guide, he’s the guy! Thanks JJ! I would happily recommend you as a guide. I’ll be back! -Daniel

We had a very special day on the Kenai with JJ. I took my grandson, Caleb, on a trip in July 2020 and we loved our day on the river and with JJ. JJ came to pick us up at our cabin and we fished his favorite spots. JJ is personable and very family oriented if that is important to you. While trip planning, JJ was excellent either texting or calling to answers questions that I had regarding the experience. He worked hard to get us to the spots he thought we had the best chance to catch fish. During the day we caught approximately 14 fish between the two of us and most of them were very nice fish. All trout fishing is catch and release, but we were there just to have the fun of fishing and experiencing this great area. It was just a wonderful experience and would recommend his services highly.
