Hana has been the most requested tour on Maui for years. Those who live here know that the road to Hana is what we all want to see, and "Halfway to Hana" gives that all to you. It's all within 6 1/2 hours, instead of the long all day full Hana tours. We use Lincoln Navigators (SUV) which has Five " first class"seats and two coach size seats. Your professional guide Summer has driven this road for 20 years, and Sean for 35 years. Everything that's fun to do on this road will be mentioned and offered, including a rich update of any Hawaiian affairs if asked. It's good to go with a local.

We offer private if you book all of the seats in a 7 passenger Lincoln navigator and shared if you're booking less. Booking seven seats gives you the whole vehicle. Couples may be in two SUV's following each other at times, 8 stops.

Please bring "reef walkers" if you would like to take a dip in a waterfall, rain jacket as well. If you have motion sickness make sure you have your remedy.

2
Ke'anae
3
Haipua'ena Falls

Pua'a Ka'a State Park
Puaʻa Kaʻa State Wayside Park is a state park on the island of Maui, Hawaiʻi. It is located along the Hana Highway approximately 39 mi east of Kahului. The area consists of 5 acres of rainforest with waterfalls and pools. The park is at an elevation of 1,200 ft and roughly 0.5 mi away from Waiohue Bay. Deep in the rainforest this beautiful waterfall beckons you to take a dip, so bring an extra set of clothes and "Reef Walker" type shoes to wade in and walk out safely. Walking up to the waterfall and small pathways brings you throughout this stop with bathrooms and sitting areas, this is a very popular location. This is the turnaround location for this tour. If there is room, we can stop for lunch that we purchase prior to arriving. A must see and do if the water quality allows. Remember, this is a subtropical rainforest and a large rainfall deep in the forest can bring a surge of muddy water at any time so we help you choose out of two locations to take a dip. Rain or shine, its great!
11
Ke'anae Arboretum
This stop involves walking through a subtropical rainforest and seeing everything that can grow on a small trail into the forest. Many professional photography opportunities. You also should bring shoes to get muddy as it rains often.
12

Don’t believe swimming options-treacherous walk w slippery rocks into water. Ridiculous. Also, I am convinced that Hawaii only has terrible, dirty public bathrooms. Yikes! Finally, why take us to buy lunch at a place without any bathroom?

Hi, thanks for the review, sorry about the lunch location not having a restroom. We have a restroom just before and after but that location called the halfway to Hana store hasn't had a restroom available for over 15 years. Mostly because people on the road just stop for that and don't leave it clean. They decided just to send people to the public bathrooms. You may be correct that some bathrooms need better cleaning and we're all on board with you to get that voted in because there's so many people driving the Hana Road. The restroom that we find is the best is the one stop at Keanae. That one is taken care of by the local residents of that little town. Sorry you didn't get to go to that one. The waterfalls, Pua As Kaa has been a favorite water fall for over 100 years or more just for tourists. It does take some skill so it's good to have rubber shoes when you're walking into it. It's just like any other reef in all of Hawaii you need to have some skill to keep yourself safe. Sorry it was a little bit hard for you to get in and out of these waterfalls. This is the first time we've ever had any talk about the waterfalls having a difficult time, it may be better to have someone right beside you while going in and out of these places in the future to help out. We'll be glad to help you if you need. Most people have a great time but sorry that you had a difficult time and we'll find that we'll try to improve everything by asking people to only go to the restrooms we know that are totally taken care of. Hope the rest of your trip throughout Hawaii and all the islands goes well. I'm sure you'll have a few more times to see restrooms and waterfalls. Mahalos

It was a great trip. Out guide was very nice and knowledgeable. She stopped at all view points. It’s nice to have a guided tour. The highlight was seeing the sea turtles and the rainbow eucalyptus trees. Absolutely stunning.
