This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

We booked the 1/2 day float trip on the uppper colorado river because our daughter (3 years old) was too young for many other rafting trips. We absolutely LOVED the trip and she did too! We were fortunate to be able to go because excess rain has swelled the Colorado River and made it a little rougher than usual and AVA contacted us to be aware that they may have to cancel because of our daughter's age (we apprecaited that they were aware and watching out for her comfort and safety!). We got to go and we had a blast - we got splashed, I went off of the "jumping rock," and we had a great time getting to know our guide (Dylan) and the family that we shared the raft with. Bottom line? if you want to raft, and want a great experience, book a trip with AVA.

This was our 1st rafting trip and enjoyed every minute. Mark was our guide and he is very good with younger children. It's a pretty short trip which is great for kids. Only about 90 minutes on the water and I would bet we spend at least 25 minutes of that jumping off the rocks which is the highlight of the trip.

Highly recommend. Breathtaking scenery on the route. The guides were friendly. Even had the option to jump off a cliff. Would book again.
