This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

What To Expect

AVA Colorado Rafting

When you arrive to our Kremmling Outpost, you will check-in with our front desk staff, gear up, meet your guide, then load up on our vehicle to shuttle over to the trip start location.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

This was a great introduction to rafting. The staff were amazing fun and knowledgeable. There were a few small rapids, the scenery was incredible!

This was a really fun activity to do with my three-year-old nephew. I've rafted class III and IV rapids in the East, and this was far better. The scenery was gorgeous, plenty of wildlife viewing (bald eagles!) and the water was refreshingly cool. Our guide Ian was patient with the little fellow and kept things fun for the rest of us. Highly recommend! If I could suggest one improvement, it would be the lunch at the end of rafting - I get it that options are somewhat limited, but it honestly would've been better to have just a cold fruit pop and bottle of water to have on the bus ride back instead of DIY sandwiches. We definitely will be back for kayaking next time!

Mike, our guide, was terrific! We rock & rolled (360 degree turns) over rapids and never felt the raft was out of control. He had us going backwards so we could see the beauty behind us. He clearly has mastered the art of controlling a raft and keeping us feeling secure. Great time.
