This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

What To Expect

AVA Colorado Rafting

When you arrive to our Kremmling Outpost, you will check-in with our front desk staff, gear up, meet your guide, then load up on our vehicle to shuttle over to the trip start location.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Great experience, tour guides were energetic and fun! Some extra opportunities thrown in. Saw two bald eagles nestled in the cliffs above. Felt entirely safe. Highly recommend

Grandson (10) jumping off the 30 ft. rock into the river. I loved swimming in the refreshingly cool water, the class 2 rapids, paddling and our very competent, smart and fun guide, Fletcher. We thought the other people on the trip really enjoyed it, as well, and we really enjoyed them. The lunch was delicious. Thank you. We are hoping to get the info we need to order a photo as my husband somehow lost your email message. Thanks to fletcher and guest, Wade, for hauling me in after swim.

We had a terrific morning float on the upper Colorado with a group that ranged from 9 to 65. Our guide, Mike, was knowledgeable and confident, and we had a safe and fun trip from beginning to end. We saw bald eagles as well as baby beavers, and my son and I enjoyed jumping off cliffs and swimming in the (cold!!!) river at our one stop. Lunch at the end was also a welcome treat. The river was relatively calm during our mid-July float, and I would recommend this to even the most cautious and inexperienced rafters. Special shout out to Nelson and Megan, who made the bus ride there and back particularly entertaining (and pointed out dinosaur tracks along the way!).
