If you are unsure then just book it! This was one of the highlights of our California trip and an amazing experience. A smallish boat which made the trip feel very personalised. We saw plenty of whales, sea lions and dolphins and the crew were so passionate about their jobs. Captain Danny made sure he spoke to everyone on board and answered any questions we had. It was a truly memorable experience.

Our tour was the highlight of our Monterey visit! It was incredible to see the multiple humpback whales and sea lions feast on the anchovies. The crew did a great job of pointing out what we were seeing with knowledgeable info. You could tell that they were experienced and knowledgeable. They made sure to provide the best experience they could give by checking on the tourists, helping those that were sick and most of all finding and narrating the animal sightings. Great sea shanty that brought us into the dock! Boat size and tour group size was good. Not too crowded and was able move about the boat to get good views. Definitely bring jacket and hat.
