Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
All participants must sign a Release Form (liability waiver) and/or an assumption of risk form to acknowledge understanding of these risks and assume all risk of participation
Minimum age is 6 years, must be capable of performing specific tasks independently
Properly fit into a type 5 coat guard approved life jacket
Wear closed toe shoes, quick dry materials for rafting (cotton not recommended)
Read and understand all the instructions in English
Consult a doctor before participating if you have a history of head, neck, back, shoulder, or cardiac concerns
Be able to self rescue in the event of a swim
Rental equipment available for rafting (wetsuits, polypro tops, river booties, splash jackets)

My two teenagers, my 10 year old son, and I booked a half day morning rafting trip through Browns Canyon on our recent visit to Salida. We chose this company to raft with because their departure time was earlier than the other nearby rafting establishments (we were able to explore St. Elmo and soak at the Mt. Princeton hot springs after we rafted). We had such a fun time and our guide, Alex, was awesome. The water levels were a bit low and we did get stuck on some rocks a few times, but overall we had a great experience and we all enjoyed our morning on the river. Safety is definitely their #1 priority so as a mom with three children I really appreciated that. All of the staff were so friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. We didn't once feel pressured into renting unnecessary gear or purchasing items or photos from them. This is a Christian based company, but none of their employees felt it necessary to push their personal beliefs on us. We happen to be a family of atheists so we really appreciated that they weren't at all "preachy". Near the end of our rafting adventure, Alex did ask us very politely if he could say a prayer of thanks to which we agreed was perfectly fine. It was such a nice, sweet prayer of gratitude that I gave hima fist bump when he was done. One last thing that I would like to add is that they do sell day passes for the Mt. Princeton hot springs for half price (huge savings). In closing, I would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in rafting the Arkansas. You won't be disappointed!

We went on a half day raft trip in Browns Canyon, had lunch and then did the Adventure park. On the raft trip we had 76 years old to 9 years old and it was great for everyone! Lunch was great! The grandparents sat out for the ropes course. They could easily watch from the side. The kids loved the ropes course!

Absolutely outstanding rafting trip. From reservations to turning in gear, this group of caring team members ensure you have the best experience possible. They are busy for a reason! Everyone has a great time shooting the rapids and getting into water fights. They are that good for all travelers from first timers to experienced rafters. Our group of Trail Life young men had a blast and got to experience the rapids with guides focused on living God honoring lives. What a great way to experience Browns Canyon! Suggest start with the half day trip and even take an overnight. Noah's Ark will make sure you time on the water or in the Canyon is a pleasurable experience you will not soon forget.
