During your time on Kauai, enjoy a three-hour guided kayak and snorkel tour along the picturesque Hanalei River and in Hanalei Bay, which is home to the beautiful Bay Reef Lagoon. Admire the dramatic Makana Peak (Bali Hai) and get up close to tropical reef fish. As you kayak along the river, you’ll be surrounded by lush trees and diverse wildlife. Learn about the flora and fauna of the surrounding area from your naturalist guide, and enjoy a snorkel in the turquoise waters of the lagoon.

It was a decent enough trip; would have been much more worth it if it was on a bright sunny day. Time spent actually kayaking couldn't have been more than 30 minutes, so I personally was hoping for more out of that, but I imagine it would be just fine for a family with kids or senior citizens. The snorkeling location did not have the most exciting underwater sights in terms of color and variety, but we did get to see a turtle in action, which was magnificent. Otherwise the guides were great; overall a pleasant 'mild' experience.

Aloha Brandon, As I shared on another post, it has been challenging doing our various paddling and hiking tours with the recent less than ideal weather conditions. It is true, our Hanalei Blue Lagoon paddle and snorkel is more for the active family. Sounds like you might be a candidate for a summer return, to paddle on our extremely challenging all day sea kayak paddle along the Na Pali Coast. The turtle is our company totem. Glad you did see a turtle; most likely a green sea turtle who over the years we have seen their number increase with protection; in early 60's they were on the menu of many restaurants. Thanks for sharing....and glad to hear that the guides did their best,...given the weather. A hui hou, Micco

We had a great time with this company. We Kayaked up the river and then down to the mouth and to Hanalei Bay. It rained off and on the entire trip, which was pleasant. However, the water was so choppy that the snorkeling portion was very difficult and not very fun. Wish the weather had been better, but the guides were great! Knowledgeable, friendly and fun!

Aloha Keri, Man proposes....and the Fate's dispose! Sorry the weather conspired and nice to know that the guides took a curve and made it a plus; that is true guiding. Guiding is easy when you have classically beautiful weather. True test of guides is guiding when the weather is less than perfect and still making it a fun and enriching experience Thanks for sharing and here's to better weather for us all. A hui hou, MIcco

Our guides Lisa and Steve were great! Very helpful. We had a great time kayaking and snorkeling! Even got to see a sea turtle! Would definitely recommend this tour!

Aloha Chelsea, Lisa and Steve....are often partners in "crime" on our popular Hanalei Blue Lagoon paddle and snorkel tour you went on. They know how to balance fun with safety within the beautiful panorama that surrounds the Hanalei River and Bay. There is a reason we call Lisa and Steve the...."dream team"! Turtle you saw was most likely the "green sea turtle". This is a good omen for a return. The turtle is the totem of Kayak Kauai; we travel slow, have fun along the way and ultimately prevail and make it back safely. Thanks for sharing and keep having fun. A hui hou, Micco
