I've never given a poor review for a Hard Rock Cafe' before. This was my 51st Hard Rock. We were told there was quite a waiting time for a table, which is fine, but when we were seated, we noticed very few tables were in use. I figured perhaps they had a lot of reservations but no one filled those tables while we were there, so I guessed they're having the same problem as everyone else - not enough employees. I can understand that.
I tried to be understanding of our service, expecting a lack of employees caused slow service, but when we did get our food, it was lacking. I usually love a good ribeye, but this one was mostly fat - and I know a ribeye is fatty - and my potatoes were barely warm.
Then to get the bill and discover they've separated the liquor from the food and added a "liquor tax". Made it sound like that was a tax separate from our food - in addition to.
And then I noticed that they added the tip into our bill - with only 2 of us at the table! That shocked me. I guess that's why we didn't get good service - because there is no incentive for a server to give good service. Really disappointing. (By the way, we were at 2 other Hard Rock's in California that same week who did NOT follow those rules. No separate liquor tax and no added tip on the bill.)
Also - not much memorabilia either.
