TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
Go for an exclusive guided mountain bike tour of Anna Ranch, a National Historic Site and working ranch. The green, rolling hills of the 110 acre ranch are nestled at the base of the Kohala Mountains, former training grounds for King Kamehameha’s Kipu‘u pu‘u Warriors. This mountain bike tour is both family-friendly and challenging, and provides insight into Hawaiian history and culture. As you ride in the lush, cool uplands of Waimea you’ll enjoy stunning views of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualalai. We’ll begin with a brief overview of Anna’s legacy as the original Hawaiian Cowgirl and the First Lady of Ranching. Then we’ll ride directly from the ranch across the Kohakohau Stream and head up nearly 1200 feet to our snack spot and vista point, stopping along the way to learn about the historic and cultural elements of this unique aina (land).

We are a family of avid mountain bikers in the south and this experience did not disappoint! This was our first time on e-bikes, and it made for a great experience on the climb at Anna’s ranch. Ray, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge! This was one of my 14 year old son’s favorite experiences in Hawaii. 10/10 would recommend!
