The tour had something for everyone. History of Hilton Head, the animals that live there and how they preserve the habitat

The guide Rita was wonderful- very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed learning all of the history and also the information on the marshes and vegetation and birds. However some areas were closed for winter (like the butterfly exhibit )so we’ll want to return to see those and the flowers in spring

This place is beautiful. So much to see and places to relax and watch the butterflies. There are large gorgeous pavilions to have lunch or do crafts with the kids. They had a nice little gift shop with books, art, and things to buy local from the island. The staff really pride themselves in knowing their facts and are great at sharing their stories about everything from owl pellets to plankton. Huge live oaks are shading the paths and nice boardwalks on the water to bird watch. Really a peaceful place to escape for a few hours!
