We took a tour as a family while visiting from Texas. We were only in LA for the day, so wanted something to do where we could see all the touristy spots without having to spend too much time driving. In all honesty, the office location was a bit sketchy at first, but the tour turned out amazing! If you want to see Beverly Hills and Hollywood without having to drive in crazy traffic or waste time Googling directions, an Ultimate Hollywood Tour is really your best bet. We saw a TON of celebrity homes, great views, iconic landmarks, the Sunset Strip, etc. in only two hours. Ryan was our guide and we loved him—very knowledgeable and entertaining! Highly recommend this tour company. Thanks to Ryan and the staff for being so friendly and for giving us a fun trip!

I did this tour on my own while visiting LA with a friend, because I wanted to see some of the celebrity tours and the city. There is parking close to the pick-up point and you have to wait in the office in the plaza. There are toilets and comfortable chairs ion the office. Everyone is very friendly and chatty. You can take drinks and snacks on the bus and there is a 7-Eleven in the plaza. The buses are for about 12 people and open on the sides, which is great for visibility, but you have to be a bit brazen and ignore locals beeping and shouting abuse at you, because they are unhappy with tourists disturbing rich and tranquil neighbourhoods. I personally did not care and thought it was funny. Once you enter the bus, you get a wireless set of headphones, which makes it easy to understand the tour guide. Our guide was friendly and informative, although I did not really get or share her sense of humour and she digressed quite a lot. It did not matter much, since the tour itself is interesting and beautiful, taking you through the Hollywood Hills and along Mulholland Drive, then into Beverly Hills and along Rodeo Drive and the Sunset Strip. You get to see a ton of celebrity homes (Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Marilyn Monroe, P Diddy, Michael Jackson, Elvis, Kardashians, Ellen Degeneres, Adele, David Lynch, John Legend and many, many more) and learn a lot about the different neighbourhoods. You can interact with the tour guide and let them know if there is a particular celebrity you are interested in, etc. We stopped once at a nice lookout and had 5 min to walk around and take pictures of the Hollywood Sign in the distance and the Downtown area. Overall, I would recommend this tour. It's not cheap, but you get a great 2-2:30 hour tour of LA and see some beautiful celebrity home. It's worth noting that this is NOT a celebrity spotting tour or "safari" - it is mainly about driving through areas in which celebrities (and other very rich people) live and visiting some of the fancy and more glamorous areas of LA.

It had been several years since our last tour of Hollywood/Beverly Hills and my 11-year old son wanted to see where the celebrities lived and the fancy cars they drive. We chose Ultimate Hollywood Tours because it fit our primary criteria of being only a two or three hour tour. The longer tours tend to have “filler” activities and sites and we just wanted the good stuff. 😂 The tour was in an open van and took us right up Hollywood Blvd. We had a very knowledgeable guide (unfortunately we didn’t remember his name) who told us about old Hollywood on our way to the Hollywood sign. We went through neighborhoods in both the Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills where our guide pointed out celebrity homes and former celebrity homes. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any stars walking around their neighborhood or even just hanging out in their front yards. Despite the lack of any celebrity sightings, we did enjoy the tour and will probably go with Ultimate Hollywood Tours again in the future.
