Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

This was the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Took a balloon ride for my birthday and couldn't have had a better experience. Damien was our pilot and he was the perfect blend of informative and entertaining. He has a passion for flying and it is contagious. The ride was flawless from start to finish and every member of the staff was hard working and kind. This was a bucket list item for me and I couldn't be more pleased with doing it over the Black Hills. The beauty of the land and the peace and quiet of the skies is something everyone should experience. Don't hesitate, just do it!!!

This was such a lovely experience! The sunrise over the Black Hills is beautiful and watching it on a hot air balloon feels so peaceful. The entire crew was great and did a wonderful job keeping us safe.

Denny was our Pilot, even though he was an Irishman, who would of thought! He was great, gave excellent brieing before the flight and gave us a smooth landing. He also took care of us after the flight with Champagne and snacks. The ground crew were also very courteous and attentive. Great job everyone!
