This review is about the Waking Wonderland Experience. Me and my two kids (teen and tween) attended the 11 am show. I paid $19 each with Groupon (same price onsite but Groupon doesn’t add tax or fees) and for that price, I’d say it is a reasonable experience. Parking was $3. However, this is nothing like the immersive Van Gogh Experience or Candytopia. This is a short projection with a cute story about Alice’s granddaughter and some light and effects. There are very few interactive elements here. I kept on waiting for some real confetti or bubbles or something to happen, given that this is obviously tailored to a younger audience but then it was over. We tried some of the interactive elements and they were very subtle. I’d say this one is best for very young kids, probably 10 and under, and the 3 star rating here is accurate. My kids enjoyed it and they both said it was ok to do if you don’t have anything else going on.
