Illuminarium Atlanta

Illuminarium Atlanta offers a family-friendly experience during the day and transforms in the evenings into Illuminarium After Dark, an adults-only nightlife venue. It’s the perfect destination for celebrations of all kinds including birthdays, social groups, field trips and more. There are currently 2 shows operating during the day: Waking Wonderland and SPACE: A Journey to the Moon & Beyond. Illuminarium Atlanta is located along the Eastside Trail of the Atlanta BeltLine.

Before attending, I found it difficult to understand just what this attraction was. But my 12 y/o wanted to go, and so we did. We attended the exhibit called Space. This is essentially being led into a room the size of a gymnasium with the walls (and floors) as one giant surround movie screen. It showed the planets and much more. It is well coordinated with music. There are chairs to sit in this auditorium and get immersed in the sounds and scenes of outer space. But that is what it is. Nothing more. Nothing less.

The illuminarium was very interesting and entertaining . My whole family enjoyed the experience! The staff and hosts were very friendly.

The entire place was NOT working when we originally had tickets so we came back a week later after the staff offered to do so. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We went today and SPACE was great! The lights, the sounds, the floor were all top notch. We will go back for a different one again.
