We forecast cloud and auroras to ensure we are going to see Aurora. With our key locations and experience we will view the Northern Lights or you can come out viewing with us again for free within the next 30 days as part of our Aurora Guarantee Policy**

Gold, Gold, Gold! Alaska is known for oil and gold. Our guides are familiar with gold panning and the man who first discovered gold in July 1902, starting the Fairbanks Gold Rush. This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. If you want to learn about Alaskan History, ask our wonderful guides who are happy to share both personal and historical facts and stories.

Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point

Here at Aurora in Alaska we go to the best cloud free location each night. One of our favorites stops along the way is the awe-inspiring and historical Alyeska Pipeline. Whenever possible our guides happily share our Alaskan history with oil and take guests up close and personal to the pipeline.

I am a well traveled person and have been on many excursions in several countries over the past three years. This aurora viewing excursion was one of the absolute best experiences I have ever been on. Out of the 200+ excursions I’ve experienced, this is definitely landing in my top three. It was a wonderful and well planned experience from the time I made first contact until they dropped us off at the end of the experience. They were very detailed with sending information on explaining what was to be expected during the trip, when they were going to pick you up, who was gonna pick you up, what they were going to pick you up in, what you should wear, etc. The guides were absolutely incredible with giving us information about the Aurora Borealis and sharing the history of these excursions and giving us local details about wildlife, living in Alaska, etc. My favorite part of the excursion, besides, of course, seeing the beautiful northern lights and taking incredible photos, was the way the staff had the “campsite” set up for us. They provided chairs several campfires, reindeer sausage that we were able to cook over the open fire, all the tea, coffee, and hot chocolate we could drink. Our group was from all different areas in the United States and the world. It was so awesome to experience a real sense of togetherness and community while we were out there on this adventure. The staff was awesome when it came to our photos. They were very eager to ensure our pictures encompassed the beauty and awe of the aurora, as well as encouraging us to capture as many pictures and poses as possible. I love the fact they were showing us our photos right after the shot. The entire staff went above and beyond to make this one of the most incredible experiences of a lifetime. A special shout out to Andrew, Madeline and Tony.
