Gold, Gold, Gold! Alaska is known for oil and gold. Our guides are familiar with gold panning and the man who first discovered gold in July 1902, starting the Fairbanks Gold Rush. This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. If you want to learn about Alaskan History, ask our wonderful guides who are happy to share both personal and historical facts and stories.

Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point

Here at Aurora in Alaska we go to the best cloud free location each night. One of our favorites stops along the way is the awe-inspiring and historical Alyeska Pipeline. Whenever possible our guides happily share our Alaskan history with oil and take guests up close and personal to the pipeline.

Austin was a great host from start to finish. Had a great time & he found the Aurora in a spectacular viewing spot. It’s obvious how much care & planning goes into this trip - from the warm comfortable van with night sky lighting, super cool, to hands on camera settings advice, to premium location for viewing, to warm campfire with food/drink, to professional pics of you with Aurora, and guaranteed Aurora sighting. I highly recommend this guide company for memories to last a lifetime.

The tour was overall amazing from start to finish. I loved the option of hotel pickup and drop off which made it extremely convenient. The communication was great starting with a confirmation text with your tour guides info as well as what to expect on the tour and time for pick up with a call 10 min before to give you a heads up. Our guide Austin was so kind and accommodating and made you feel very comfortable. He was an expert at locating the lights and captured some great photos on his camera which he will then send over on a link for easy download. He was very well prepared and provided us with reindeer sausage (reg., spicy, and vegan), hot chocolate and coffee, water, seltzers and a warm fire which he kept lit the whole time we were out there in temps between 12 to 25 it was great. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to experience the Aurora. Highlight of my trip :)

They were good with communication and spotting the lights good spot. Overall great experience. Would reccomend booking it for viewing the lights, we had an incredible view with all the colors in the lights. They would also take pictures for you so you don't have to worry about that and they have a good camera and are great with photography. Pictures are also included for free. One feedback for the campfire would be add something of vegetarians, for ex s'mores?
