Gold, Gold, Gold! Alaska is known for oil and gold. Our guides are familiar with gold panning and the man who first discovered gold in July 1902, starting the Fairbanks Gold Rush. This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. If you want to learn about Alaskan History, ask our wonderful guides who are happy to share both personal and historical facts and stories.

Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point

Here at Aurora in Alaska we go to the best cloud free location each night. One of our favorites stops along the way is the awe-inspiring and historical Alyeska Pipeline. Whenever possible our guides happily share our Alaskan history with oil and take guests up close and personal to the pipeline.

Magical and amazing experience. Our host Austin had timely pickup in his star experience van. We had doubts because it was cloudy, but he took us towards cloud clearings. While we waited he helped me setup my camera and then suddenly the sky started to light up. The aurora lights viewing was the reason I made the trip with my family to Alaska. Austin allowed everyone plenty of time to bask in the solar display, he had a fire going to keep warm, hot beverages a heated van and reindeer sausages. I highly recommend going with this tour, it was a memorable experience. My parents and my husband loved the entire journey.

Amazing experience. Highly recommend. Everything perfect. tour guide Austin is verry friendly. I will help you make the best possible shots. he will prepare a bonfire on which you will make a reindeer sausage. you will spend a very successful night with the northern lights. thank you Austin.

Had a great experience! Both Nick and Austin are cool and helped us take some amazing photos. Entire pick up and drop off was seamless and communication was really great. There were 2 vans with about 15 people split between the vans, we had warm drinks, hard seltzers and the reindeer sausage (they had vegetarian options too). The views were incredible and Austin/Nick were always available to take photos with their cameras. Highly recommended!
