The Hummer tour was the best excursion we participated in. It was truly amazing. Our tour guide, Shannon, was phenomenal and made our vacation special. We toured the town, saw a waterfall, walked through the rainforest and saw the black beach. Shannon knew everything about the island. I not only recommend this excursion, but recommend that you request Shannon as your guide.

Booked though Holland America. Shannon met us as we left the ship and did an amazing job. Saw the salmon run with bears eating at the river, hiked through the rain forest, went to the Alaska beach. stopped at Herring Cove, saw waterfalls and Totem State Park. She then dropped us off in Ketchikan in time to do some shopping before our boat left town. Highly recommend this tour.

We booked the tour through Holland America. We were looking for fun things to do and see that didn't involve a lot of walking. Dad has some difficulty getting around and we wanted to bring his wheelchair along. Philly Mike was waiting for us when we disembarked and was FABULOUS! He was above and beyond helpful with Dad. He is full of stories and history and trivia of the island. He even had a story about the grocery store we stopped at. The Hummer was super comfortable and we had a blast! This tour is definitely worth the price! Thanks, Philly Mike! p.s.-we were not a family with teens-we were a family of adults!
