We had a group of 8 on this excursion and it was a highlight for everyone. Captain Jackie and guide Claire are amazing. They were truly delightful and fun to be around. We got to see plenty of whales and even got a little whiff of whale breath….. iykyk 🤣 The salmon bake afterwards was in a scenic area and was really pleasant. But the whales were definitely the stars!

We went out on the North Star with the fantastic captain Melissa and Hannah- a marine expert and had an amazing trip seeing orcas ,many humpbacks both in the water, breaching and some superb tail/fluke views . we also saw sea lions close to the boat along with a harbour porpoise. The bus transfers were great with interesting commentary. The salmon bake was excellent with great salmon and a great selection of other food and hot and cold drinks plus beer/ wine if required. The site was also interesting with the salmon creek and waterfall and old mining paraphanalia- a great trip which we thoroughly recommend.
