Booked this excursion from Adventure Ketchikan Tour group in August. Well organized. Guides and bus drivers knowledgeable and friendly. Saw a few whales and the most beautiful rainbow while on the water. Also saw a few bald eagles on the drive to the salmon bake. BEST part of the experience was the salmon bake!! Hands down the most delicious salmon I’ve ever tasted. My family agreed with me too. Grilled over Alder wood - it gave the salmon a delicious smokey flavor. Besides being the freshest fish right out of the water. The rest of the food was good too. Beer and wine available for purchase. The setting was in the woods where an old gold mine once was. Very pretty wooded trail to a beautiful waterfall. Definitely highly recommend this tour!!

Our whale watching trip was phenomenal!! Crew was interesting and knowledgeable . Our van driver did her best to get us through a traffic jam and to the salmon bake … but it was very rushed only 20 mins for lunch! Food and setting was spectacular wish we had more time there.

The whale watching was amazing! Frombboarding to seeing the whales to getting back to shore was fabulous. Captain Lee and Libby are the perfect dynamic duo! Libbys' passion and knowledge of the whales just flows out of her -- we learned so much. Captain Lee's boating skills were awesome....quick to spot a whale and get there. We saw so many it was just unbelievable!!!
