Please look at our Departure and Return instructions before your trip with us. If you have any questions please reach out before you dock in town. We will pick you up at the excursion hub which is by the bottom of the zipline by the green gondola. Also do not go the kayak center. There are two kayak business in town.

Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

Great kayak tour! Safety was top priority, followed by providing a great experience. I took this tour with my adult son while on our Alaskan cruise. Even though we only saw minimal wildlife, our guides made it a memorable experience. And emailed photos THEY took of the entire kayaking trip. That was a nice surprise.

Cody and crew gave us a great kayak experience while in Hoonah! Everything was so simple and organized . My daughter and I felt very safe with all the instructions we were given. That day, we were so fortunate! We saw bear from the kayak . A sea lion followed our kayak and a few whales breached a few times far enough away from the kayaks that we were safe but close enough to hear the spout and see everything clearly. Also a some eagles in an airshow battle. Lots of information about the town , the lake and the wildlife. We also stopped alongside a small boat to see/touch some “sea” creatures ! Crabs and a monster type starfish . ( can’t remember the official name ) There was also a photographer who took pictures during the entire time and shared with all the participants ! Thank you Cody and crew ! Thank you !
