All 6 of us thought it was one of the top things we did while in Alaska (we did a McKinley/Denali glacier landing, drove to Prudhoe Bay, went Halibut fishing, etc.). I have attached some pictures – which don’t do the tour justice. It was a miserable day, a couple other people got sick as it was a little rough, but, once they went downstairs they got better. It was spotty rainy and cloudy all the time, but if you wanted to be inside, it was very warm and comfortable. Seeing the sights from inside was great and when there were humpbacks, orcas, see otters, etc. you could go outside. They also took us by cliffs where we saw all kinds of birds, including Puffins and we saw quite a few eagles. The landscape was great as well, cliffs, waterfalls, arches, sunken islands caused by the earthquake in the 60’s, etc. Seeing the glacier this way was a once in a lifetime experience. We didn’t get to see any major glacier calving, but we did see a small amount of the glacier fall into the water and could hear the booming of glacier several times. It was a great day and worth the money. The people that narrated our trip were great and the cabin stewards were very friendly and helped anyone that needed anything. Highly recommend.
