There is a lot to see at the Kennedy Space Centre and if you plan it well you may just be able to cram it all into the one day. However by taking this tour, you are limited with your time because you must be at certain areas at certain times. Not to mention with all of the hotel pick ups, it took 2 hours to drive there, wasting time you could have spent there. But they have some great IMAX shows on offer, and a very good Star Trek exhibition which unfortunately isn't on for much longer I believe. Now that the shuttle program has been ended, it is a little boring doing the bus tours around the complex. They take you past the Vehicle Assembly Building which is where the shuttle and boosters were all joined together.... but now it isn't happening anymore it takes a bit of the shine off the experience. Lunch with an astronaut was enjoyable and well worth paying the extra for. All up an enjoyable day.
The trip was very worth while and well organized, the only problem we had as did others was that we could not hear what the guide was saying on the bus.
Fantastic trip from start to finish. Bus turned up on time with very entertaining and informative coach driver. The space centre is fantastic and sadly i didn't get to do everything(i had the ultimate space pass). Enjoyed the imax 3d space station film and the various exhibtion. Lunch with an astronaut was lovely-good food and drink selection, talk from Bonnie Dunbar and a photo opportunity. The bus tour was fantastic, guide was brillant and seeing the launch pads and veicule building was amazing. If i go back i will be doing the trip again. Highly recommended.
