We tour Mt Rushmore with its Presidential Trail, Avenue of Flags, an excellent movie about its history and the museum.

At Custer State Park we drive Wildlife Loop, stopping to view wild burros, elk, deer, antelope and of course bison/buffalo. Buffalo calving season begins in March . . . might see 'Little Red Devils' running around. Custer Park also offers Iron Mountain Road with its pigtail bridges and one-way tunnels. Tour is also offered in Jeeps and Woodys.

You will be guided through the Memorial and informed of the history of the mountain and the carver. At the conclusion of this you will have time to explore on your own and visit gift shop and restaurant (they have excellent ice cream made from Thomas Jefferson's recipe).

After watching an excellent 20 movie you will understand what Crazy Horse is all about. At conclusion of movie we walk you through the large rooms full of Native American exhibits (14,000). You will then have time to explore on your own.

Wildlife Loop Road
Now its time to see some wildlife . . . buffalo, deer, antelope and more. Spring is the calving season for the buffalo and there there may be dozens of little red calves running about. We travel along the road making stops to visit the Beggin' Burros for photos and dirve the loop enjoying the views.
