We had Ashley as our captain with Davonte as our in water expert (not sure if that was his title but it should be) The excursion was great and we got to see Kona from the water along with some open water fish farms and a giant rainbow as well. The snorkeling at Captain Cook was amazing and we saw tons of fish and wildlife. Davonte gave us a ton of history and cool facts about the island and himself, which made us want to move there even more if that was possible. We would 1000% do this again just for the chance to hang out with him again and learn more about his life on the island. He gave us a ton of local recommendations and every single one of them turned out to be excellent. Overall the tour was great and would recommend to anyone.

I was originally signed up for an afternoon snorkeling tour in Kealakekua and got switched to the Beat the Crowd tour. I'm so happy I did. Captain Rick was our captain and guide (it was a small group). On the ride down, we saw a couple humpback whales. When we arrived at Kealakekua, several boats were on their way out. We had plenty of time to snorkel around the bay (plus lunch) with only a few other boats there; didn't feel rushed or crowded out by other snorkelers. On our way out of the bay, several more boats were arriving, so the timing was perfect. We also got to check out a few lava tubes / sea caves on the way back, and some spinner dolphins put on a show. A wonderful day and a fantastic tour!

It’s not called the Beat the crowd tour for nothing!! The timing really takes into account the usually company tour times and makes use of their departure from the bay. Giving us plenty time to explore and snorkel without all the other companies around. We are happy that you didn’t feel rushed and felt the difference. We really tried to take the guest experience into account when making this trip. Glad you had a great time with us and hope you come back on another vacation. Aloha

Captains Rick and Ashley were amazing. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We seen a whale in the distance and Captain Rick did his best to catch up to it, although it wasn't part of the package. The entire group appreciated his effort and it made the experience so much more memorable. I definitely recommend this tour, especially with Captains Rick and Ashley.
