Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

We are proud to be a Green Listed company, and we take an environmentally cautious approach to our interactions with the manta rays.

The total experience was amazing! We saw lots of mantas and it was an easy snorkel with very helpful guides! My only suggestion would be a clearer way to find the group at the dock. Maybe a lighted sign!

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have made some updates to our website language, and now have additional lights on our van, so we think it's easier to find us now. We will continue to find ways to improve the process of finding us in a crowded harbor, and we always recommend that our guests give us a call if they don't immediately find us upon arrival at the harbor.

This is an updated review based on my experience on July 11, 2021. After explaining our disappointment from our excursion being cut in half, Tom, the owner, graciously offered a refund. He took the time to listen to my customer concerns and is in the process of correcting the errors on his website. I am hopeful that anyone who uses this outfit will get the whole experience they paid for I. The future. The mantas are magnificent creatures and I still recommend anyone to take a trip to see them in their habitat. It’s a memory you will cherish!

First of all, the manta rays were spectacular. However, this outfit was not organized. Not only did we get poor directions to the van, but we started a half hour later than promised. With explanation why. We booked the trip based on a 45-50 minute water experience but we had only 25 mins. The boat staff were very nice and Keioki responded well to a person who was not complying with directions. There were no water or snacks, no “manta expert” on the boat but most of all were pulled away from a spot where we saw many mantas in order to quickly extricate us from the water. I think this was done to keep on schedule but our time was therefore cut in half. I would consider asking around prior to booking. There were many different outfits offering the same experience that maybe delivers a full experience. We’ve reached out to the company via their contact form requesting a reimbursement for the time we were shorted and are waiting to hear back. I will update this review once I hear back.

And thank you for writing an additional review entitled "Customer problems resolved," that you wrote after we spoke and addressed your concerns. We believe we have simplified the process for finding us at the harbor, and have improved our communication to clarify the difference between checkin times and departure times, as well as expectations for our manta experts. While we are normally in the water for 45 minutes, we sometimes need to reduce the time in the water based on weather conditions, manta ray feeding behavior, and passenger safety.
