Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

We had an amazing Night Manta Ray Snorkel with Hawaii Oceanic.We were a family of 6 with 4 kids ranging from 7 yo to 17 yo. Both Dylan and Captain Chad were soo sweet and accommodating with our younger ones who ultimately decided not to stay in the water to see the manta rays. We saw 4 manta rays that evening and it was something that we will never forget! We also had some curious dolphins that decided to join us at the feeding site! Even the teenagers were VERY impressed with the whole experience! We would definitely sign up for their other snorkeling trips when we return to the Big Island! Thank you Dylan and Captain Chad for such an GREAT experience!

We had an incredible experience with this company. They are informative and very positive minded with their guests. This was our first experience with snorkeling and observing Manta Ray in their environment. The guide and boat captain are very knowledgeable and safe. They share education and safety as you are in the ocean. I am a science teacher but was quite nervous about my first experience with snorkeling but our guide was excellent as he helped me in my time. We were able to snorkel in the bay before observing the manta feeding. This was a for sure "Bucket List" activity for myself, my husband and adult daughter. I HIGHLY recommend this company and respect their healthy admiration of the ocean and it's uniquest gifts to mankind.

Captain Chad and Dylan were so filled with fun facts they kept us entertained on our beautiful afternoon boat ride. We lucked out and saw a few humpback whales! We even had time for some snorkeling in the bay after watching the sunset. It was such a magical moment being that close to the Manta Rays! I felt very safe. One of the others in our tour did not know how to swim and Dylan was right there with him the whole time. This tour provided full wet suits, snorkels, snacks and drinks.
