We carry a maximum of 12 passengers so we can offer a more intimate manta ray snorkel experience than the larger "cattle boats" in Kona.

In addition to delivering a more private experience, our small group size allows for a better manta ray show. Your swim guide will tow your party to the most active areas of the snorkel site, as you hold onto a light board and enjoy the show. Larger groups on bigger boats are often required to stay next to the boat, and can't chase the manta ray action as we do. By locating the most active areas of the snorkel site, you'll have a higher chance of seeing more manta rays.

If you book all 12 seats on any trip, you will have your own private charter.

Tour was 15 minutes late to arrive at starting point which wasn’t to bad but when we got to the place to see the Rays are guide could not seem to get our board close to them but other tour companies farther down were yelling with excitement. We saw a few but they were pretty far away. Disappointed

Aloha - we apologize that you didn't receive a 5-star experience. Depending on ocean conditions and traffic at the boat ramp, we may run a bit behind schedule and we always reach out to our guests when that happens. Regarding the other tour companies "yelling with excitement," this is because they were NOT seeing manta rays. There are a couple of companies that tell their guests to scream because it attracts manta rays, which is not true. When there are a lot of manta rays, guests have their faces in the water so they can see the manta rays, and there is no screaming. We actually saw more manta rays than most of the other tour boats on the night of your tour. We will do a better job of making sure our guests are aware of the reason for screaming in the future.

We saw about 11 rays swimming and feeding on luminescent plankton for about 30 minutes. Very close and personal, but didn’t touch us. 20 minutes boat ride to the viewing area. Can be rough. Cold on the way back. Elderly gal got a little nauseous. Unforgettable!!!
