This was a great experience! It's crazy to actually be able to walk and climb on a glacier! Our guide, Matt, picked us up at our hotel and drove us out to the glacier. We were very lucky to have him to ourselves! He was extremely knowledgeable and we really enjoyed spending the day with him. He picked us up at 8 am and we returned at around 4.

My family and I did this tour with Matt, who was an amazing guide! He was very prompt for hotel pickup, and he stopped for bathroom breaks and picture opportunities on the way to the glacier. He was knowledgeable about many things to narrate the entire day, and he took nice photos for us too once we arrived. He also was able to adapt the tour based on our party’s different physical capabilities while on the glacier, which we appreciated. We loved not having to worry about transportation, and there were the nice touches of having water and snacks available to us too. Lunch was delicious — I imagined it would be a boxed lunch but we sat down at a local eatery in Palmer. Highly recommend this tour! If I return to Alaska again, I would definitely book another tour with Greatland Adventures!
