This was our 2nd tour of a pineapple farm in our lives - we hesitated at first but ultimately were beyond happy we came here! Where the first one back in the days in Antigua & Barbuda was a super small, one man farm experience, here you get a huge "commercial scale" pineapple business :)
Plenty of new interesting stuff we haven't had a chance to experience or find out before, the stages of pineapple both growing on the fields for pure viewing/visual and tasting/sampling was the highlight of the trip.
It's a must while in Maui - it is pricey, yes! but it's worth mentioning that in prize of the tour you do receive 2 big or 3 small pineapples per couple - something that goes for about $50 at their store! They are already packed for you in a cardboard box and ready to take on the plane - we flew United and had no issues at all, they made with us back home and we ate them almost a week later = delicious! I recommend drowning them in rum first :P
TIP: they make spirits here too - the tour is just $10 or something like that per adult, and it's first partially at an adjacent building and then inside their "bar" that is part of the Maui Pineapple Tour building - reviewed separately here
