Take a relaxing horse trail ride through one of the most beautiful and largest urban parks in the USA. At a size of 4,500 acres this area covers more than five times the area of Central Park in New York City. While riding the horse trails with your trail guide, you'll have the opportunity to see deer, ducks, cranes and other wildlife. The horses are well-trained and can handle riders with all levels of experience.

Choose from morning or afternoon departures. All riders must weigh less than 240 lbs

The trail ride was amazing to say the least. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. We saw plenty of geese, a raccoon, and multiple deer (does, bucks, and a fawn). The horses (Butch, Mac, and Ruby) were so well behaved and our guides, Jess and Kinsey, were amazing hosts. We got to hear about the history of the horses we rode and how they came to reside at Shelby Farms Stables. You could tell by how they spoke that they are truly passionate about the horses and knowledgeable about the Park. These are two ladies who love what they do and it honestly shows in how they conducted the tour. When we go back we hope to have Jess and Kinsey guide us again!

It was really fun for my 10 years old. As for me personally, I was reminded of the time spent riding a horse when I was a little girl. Thanks to our lovely guides-Sarah and Casey-that we felt comfortable on the horses. They provided us with enough information to work with our horses (MO and Marshall). Unforgettable experience during our trip!!!!
