This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

This was such a fun experience! The dogs are so adorable and friendly. It’s really amazing to see how excited and hyper they get when they know they’re about to run, and then the immediate focus they go into once they start. I highly recommend this for any dog lover. After the sledding they brought us around the kennels, introducing us to many of the dogs and letting us have some play time with the little puppies! We also got to meet two reindeer!

What an amazing experience we had mushing our team of dogs. These dogs are so well behaved and LOVE what they do. Our guides were knowledgeable and friendly, we learned so much about the Iditarod race and what it takes to succeed in this event. It was fabulous.

This was the quintessential Alaskan experience. It started with an introduction to the dogs in the kennel and the history of the Iditarod (the owner is a past winner!). Then we jumped in our carts for ride through the forest being pulled by 4 dogs each. One person sits and the other person guides, steers and stops the dogs. You can trade off during one of the breaks. It ended with a visit to see the new puppies! If you need a "dog fix" this is your adventure!
