Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview
This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

We had an awesome experience and was definitely a bucket list check for me! It was awesome getting to meet so many Iditarod champions! Can't wait to go back during the winter and get to go on a sled!

It was a thrill to ride with actual champion sled dogs! We dressed (very) warmly for a mid-October ride, and didn't regret it. Lots of photo opportunities with the dogs, under a replica Burled Arch etc. One surprise: we had anticipated our 7-year-old would have to stay clear of "working dogs." Totally wrong! We got to really visit with every dog (and an adorable litter of puppies.) The tour provided a ton of information on every aspect of sled dog racing and the kennel. Very accessible for someone with no prior knowledge of the sport, and a can't-miss for an Iditarod fan.

We had a blast! It was a great day out. If you're afraid to get dirty, wet or have fun this isn't for you... Chad and team were very knowledgeable and shared so much with us. Would definitely do it again. Meeting Dallas 4X Iditarod champion was the icing on the cake! Thanks for being so accommodating for our large family.

So glad you all could join! We sure had a rainy summer and fall. The dogs sure do love the puddles though.
