Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview

This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

Loved getting to meet the dogs and staff! So educational on a really interesting sport. Once in a lifetime experience running the dogs on the trails. Loved every second!

We went to AK Sled Dog Tours in September 2024. We didn't know what to expect but we had SO MUCH FUN! We couldn't stop laughing and smiling. Our tour guide, Amelia, was amazing with the dogs and she was extremely knowledgable and friendly. Definitely recommend this to anyone/everyone! AReeves
