Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview
This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

This was a real highlight of our trip; every element was so enjoyable, from cuddling the absolutely adorable puppies, to learning about training and racing the dogs, to actually having a go at mushing ourselves (SO much fun). The staff are all so knowledgable and professional, we even got to meet Dallas himself!

This is a great opportunity to drive your own sled dog team on a wheeled cart. The trail is well groomed but doesn't mean it's boring. There are plenty of turns through the woods and LOTS of mud puddles.

So many mud puddles do to our rainy summer and fall. Thanks for joining us for an adventure.

Love, love, loved this experience. I dreamed of doing this as a kid, and canā€™t believe my dream came true. My wife and I had the best time mushing with the dogs. It was also fun to hold and play with the puppies. Isaac was fantastic and a wealth of knowledge. His passion for the dogs and the training came shining through. I hope I get to do this again in my lifetime.
