Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview
This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

This was a fantastic experience for adults and teens alike. We loved the mushing and the stories behind all of those amazing dogs. Our guide was so knowledgeable and happy to answers LOTS of questions. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone!!

Without a doubt the highlight of our week in Alaska. It's a dog lover's heaven and the desire to take one home is strong. Lots of hands-on and the mushing was amazing. Dogs literally want to run, run, run. We learned so much and had a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We'll be paying close attention to the the team at the next Iditarod.
