Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview
This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

What a great experience. Learned so much. Our guild was very knowledgeable, she had a real love for the dogs. Would definitely recommend this adventure. A must do in Alaska.

Authentic Alaska experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter and I got to mush a team of four dogs around the dirt and mud track - make sure you wear the dairy boots they provide! Our hosts Chad and Isaac are real "mushers" and shared extensive detail of what it's like to race a team in subzero temperatures (which the dogs and mushers prefer!). One of the best experiences we've had as tourists. Don't miss this if you're near Talkeetna! Oh, yes, the dogs and puppies are there to meet and cuddle - hard to leave.

So happy you joined us and got to see a glimpse into the lives of real "mushers". Follow these guys on our racing page on Facebook and IG. Glad you enjoyed your time with us, and we really appreciate you leaving us a review.

Can't thank the staff enough for fitting us in for this great mushing tour. We were cancelled earlier in the day from another mushing event because of weather, and the staff here accommodated us by creating a late-day tour because we couldn't make the earlier in the day trips. Just a wonderful experience mushing with the dogs and learning the Iditarod history as well as meeting more of the pups. Again, high marks for everything from the activity itself to the education from the hosts.
