If you have a need for speed, check out this six-zip racing course that zigs and zags across the ridgeline of a mountain bowl. You’ll soar at dizzying heights of nearly 200 feet above the ground. These zip lines range from 500 to 3,170 feet including one of the longest zip lines in the East! Tours include up to 16 guests with 3 certified guides. A weight restriction of 100 to 260 pounds applies.

This was my fiancé and I’s first trip to the New River Gorge and it definitely will not be the last! The staff is so friendly and so much fun out on the activity that we chose. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our group was having a great time! They have so much to offer and we will definitely be back for more!

We booked through the Adventures on the Gorge for a family rafting trip and zip lining. The zip lining was great, quides were knowledgeable and funny. You could tell they try to make the trip as fun as possible even though they have said and done the same thing over and over. The rafting trip was supposed to be on the Lower new river and we were a little disappointed when it got move to the kayaks on the Upper new river because the water was too high but we had a great time! We had booked the family class 1-3 rapids because we had never been white water rafting before. Just be prepared to paddle a lot on that trip and the kayaks are a little hard to paddle since the side are large and you sit down in.

We have met friends in this area for many years, coming in from Raleigh, NC and Cleveland, OH to the perfect half way point. This is the second time the adults and experienced the gravity zip-lines and the third time for the kids. What an amazing experience! You are so high above the world, looking around at the beautiful area, or simply balling up and racing as fast as you can against your neighbor on their line! You lose track of just how high and fast you are moving through the air! My favorite was seeing my shadow dance below me on the ground as I went. This is an amazing experience that everyone should try. The Treetops trip is just as fun, but in a different way. You have more of a feeling of being in nature, zipping through the trees from platform to platform. Next year, I plan to do both!
