The Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island Ferry operates from 9:00am to 3:00pm with regular departures from Battery Park. You will need to redeem your ticket voucher with a Big Bus Tours staff member before heading to the ferry terminal
This ticket includes a ferry journey to both Liberty Island and Ellis Island, but not interior monument or museum access.
Empire State Building visits must pre-book a time and date through the Big Bus Booking Management link (provided on your voucher), or with our staff at Stop #1

We took the tour on the 17th. Steve was our guide. He made the tour so enjoyable. He is funny and really informative. He really had so many facts. He is a real asset to your company.

We visited NY July 11-14 and used Big Bus to tour the city via the red, blue and yellow (night tour) lines. BAYNES was a terrific guide pointing out all the landmarks and places that make New York, New York on the red and blue lines. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. He checked in with everyone when you got on the bus and offered headphones and a rain poncho if rain was in the area. He lets you know when landmarks are coming up well in advance so you are ready to take a picture. Willing to answer ANY question and will provide directions when exiting the bus. We planned out the places we wanted to see and made sure the stops that the Big Bus made would get us there. For other points of interest not on the routes or not close enough, we did use Uber or walked. Our package included the 3 day bus, night tour, and Statute of Liberty. If you have never been to New York like us, traffic and congestion is everywhere so if you need to get some place quick, the tour bus may not be the best choice for you. The three of us did not have a problem finding a seat upstairs on any of the buses we took. Not all of the buses have a/c. If you do not want to listen to the guide, you can opt to listen to a music channel. By planning what we wanted to see and do, Big Bus was the right choice for us. We definitely got our money's worth using the bus for three days and seeing the Statue of Liberty. Do your homework! It is not Big Bus' problem that the weather in New York is hot and sunny. Be prepared: wear a hat, bring a paper fan, and a cold bottle of water. If your headset does not work, wiggle the wire or let your guide know. Big Bus is not Uber, it is a tour of the city which means the bus is not going to go fast bypassing all the wonderful sights of New York and will make stops at all the locations noted on the map.

This was the worst money we spent!! Just save this money and get an Uber to take you exactly to the spot you want to be or take another transportation. The first day we had to take the subway to 42nd since we purchased the big pass. It’s too hard with today’s technology to just text or email it all. The second day we decided to save time instead of spending the first couple hours of our day getting to where we wanted to be on the bus route and got an Uber to our exact spot. The third day we finally rode it and had a very friendly guy telling us about places as we rode. But again, we could have made it in half the time in a car. My advise would be download the subway routes and check them for stops close by, plus you’ll get that experience of the big city! Then budget for Uber.

Good Afternoon Drtraveler75, We apologize if you weren't provided with any information. If there is not an agent located at the stop you choose to board, you will still be permitted to board and have your voucher scanned at the next stop with an agent. The exception is if you purchase a “Big Pass” ticket that comes with attractions. With that ticket, you will still be permitted to board the bus. However before you visit any of your attractions, you must visit our Welcome Center to obtain your attraction pass. so we apologize if you weren't assisted. You are correct, the subway is an efficient way to shoot around the city, however it is a different experience than taking a hop on hop off sightseeing tour. We hope by this time, you have gotten your money situation straightened out, and that the rest of your time in NYC was enjoyable. Kind Regards, BBTNY
