Pushy staff , overcharged us compared to others on the bus, waiting around for ages to get round City, it was far cheaper jumping in a yellow cab which also got you there quicker don't waste your money on this tour. Historic information given was out of sync so you had already gone past what they where talking about and you could not really understand what they where saying.

We were sold the one day pass after noon - but weren't told the pass ended at 5pm. We tried to buy the pass online but couldn't use the app because it wouldn't accept our Canadian postal code. Wanted the $29 day pass. Paid $35 + tax = $44 for that pass + the ferry to the Statue of Liberty.... not the cruise - the ferry! We were told that it was included. Got on the bus, after waiting in a long line. We weren't provided ear buds, or told where to find them. There are no tour guides like there used to be. Just a recording you can listen to, if you have earbuds or they think to tell you where they are. Plexiglass covering the upper level was dirty and difficult to see out. Then we were told to exit the bus at the wrong stop!! Everyone who got off was lost and confused. We had clarified that we weren't going to the cruise pick up location - we needed to go to the ferry to the statue of Liberty. We were advised this was the stop. IT WAS A FORTY MINUTE WALK TO THE FERRY!!! We walked for a while and then when we figured out where to go, we ended up taking an Uber. Then we found out that the ferry was not actually included - IT WAS A FREE FERRY TO STATEN ISLAND - and didn't go to the statue. The "entreprenurial" person who sold us the tickets wasn't very honest - he withheld a few truths. We took the ferry and it was fine. However, we then needed to get back to Midtown and take the included Uptown tour - but at the next bus we found we were told the tour was over at 5pm and we had to make our way back to Midtown ourselves. He wouldn't take us. So, for $88 US - my daughter and I had a ride in a dirty bus that would have cost about $30 by Uber. And we were lied to and then mislead when we were told to get off the bus by the TopView employee on the bus that one would expect to know. Terrible Terrible experience! I generally don't take the time to write reviews, but if this saves anyone else from being taken for a tourist fool by these people, then my time is well spent! DON'T BE FOOLED and taken advantage of - STAY AWAY FROM THIS RIP OFF COMPANY!!!!!

Get a cab, hire a bike, walk it. Use public transport but NEVER choose Top view. We purchase a 72 hour see all, do all pass. Regretted this as soon as we took our 1st journey, just one bus operates Uptown & one bus Downtown every 2 hours ( this isn't advertised on the web page or the literature) or by the countless of street peddlers that push you for your $$. We stood with the old, the young and everyone else in the cold for the 1st tour to start. Scanned our passes to enter, sat for 10 minutes pulled forward 10 mtrs, then all told to exit and join the bus in front. We were confronted with the staff member with ZERO customer facing service I have ever met.... is Top view training & checking the "experience" . We now joined the back of the queue and re scanned our passes. All the small children that were now on the front upstairs under cover were now Sat at the back exposed to the sub zero temperatures. After a further 10 minutes we Set off again only to travel 2 short stops and park up for a further 40 minutes( 1hr to do 3 blocks) All the other travellers were now frustrated and the only reason given for the delay was that they were fixing the audio, which is so quite at full volume in the traffic it's another waste of time and their resource. Why didn't they check this before the bus left the depot, the 1st bus didn't start until after 10:30 a.m.?? Why aren't there more busses like in any other city around the world that offer sightseeing tours that offer a bus every 10-15 minutes and a service that respects it's customers. Come on NYC you can do so, so much better.
