i am a huge fan of ghost tours. i do them in every city i go to especially the ones rich in history. This one has the potential to be the best - newport. shipping, revolution, colonial, Railroad tycoons, mega mansions etc. What i got was an angry little man who clearly hates everything about Newport especially the wealthiest parts of it. The only ghost aspects were the occasional lift of a finger to point out a window where there may be a ghost. if we look long enough. Not a haunting or a hag to be found. In place of ghost stories - I got the tale of his alcoholism, road to recovery, police episodes while drinking, and the arcade he hung out in. Oh there was a dog that past us who was supposed to have been a pirate ship dog from a century ago but i Like dogs so that was actually the high point. - I had to bail early when he started preaching about his first taste of white privilege. Give me my money back and tack on another 50.00 for the disgusting waste of my time. Then I will feel privileged. And fire Bobby. He should go get a job in that arcade. He can work out some of that anger on a pinball machine.

Bobby -our guide was super knowledgeable about the area, and shared some great stories at each point of interest. He also kept the tour running prompt and on time, it was a bit chilly so it was nice to keep things moving and stay in the 90 minute time frame. We were really impressed with the amount of research he had done to make sure we had gotten information based on true events. We had booked the add on bonus, which was worth it. The extra stops tie into the stories you will hear in the original itinerary. Our son had a blast with the EMF reader you can rent that for the tour too. Thanks Bobby for a spooky night out!
