This trip runs on Eastern Time.
You will get an amazing 3 mile tour just outside Chattanooga, Tennessee at Nickajack Lake and will learn about gray bats, osprey, cliff swallows, blue heron, and other wildlife. Your guide will discuss how they are all interconnected, what is being done to protect these wild animals, and what impact you can do to help the incredible endangered gray bat. We throw in a little history of the Tennessee River and how it became what it looks like today. With a grand finale of watching 100,00 gray bats leave the cave at sunset.

We had a fabulous evening on the water for the bat cave tour. There was a variety of kayaks to pick from, even a 2 person one! We were given excellent instructions on how to paddle and maneuver our kayaks. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, ospreys, birds, and bats! Right on time the bats began to emerge in a stream. Very fun experience to see them fly out and over the water around us. I'd highly recommend this trip for individuals or family's.

Loved the laid back atmosphere, but very good instruction for first timers using a kayak! The sunset was beautiful and our guide was very informative about the area we were in and about the bats we were observing. Will definitely book another tour!
