What if we don’t see any mantas? It is an extremely rare occurrence, but if we do not see ANY manta rays on our Night Manta Experience, you are welcome to come back out with us again during the same vacation, based on availability, totally free of charge. Make sure you call us right away so that we may reschedule you! Non-refundable and non-transferable.

The manta rays were so active last night! This is my third time seeing them on the Big Island & the first with the company, which has been the best viewing to date! The ride to see them is less than 10 minutes (the previous companies we went with had very long rides & you had to get there much earlier). Jasmine was a wonderful wealth of knowledge and it’s evident she loves her job! My teen kids said it was one of the highlights of their lives. The staff is kind & caring & they made sure to keep us all safe. It was nice coming back to the hot chocolate, as the rain started while we were out there. Thank you Sea Quest! We can’t wait to come back!

stonishing 5 minute boat ride to snorkel with manta rays at night. Truly excellent customer service with super nice guides and do note the boat ride… literally just 5 minutes out of the harbor just outside of the hotel. Other less $ manta ray excursions have a 20 minute boat ride just outside of the Kona airport. I did that boat ride just a few days ago and we got skunked for scuba diving with the manta rays in that area. Super highly recommend Sea Quest! We were lucky and had huge manta rays swimming all around us. Can’t wait to do this again. Wouldn’t hurt to have a little bit of ginger ale/ginger beer (non-alcoholic) & some easily digestible food your stomach like bread before you go into the water as floating & looking down can bring on a little dizziness. Again thankfully the boat ride is super close. Plus some Famous Amos cookies and hot chocolate afterwards is a nice treat. Thank you for one of the very best & most beautiful experiences Seaquest! Seeing these gentle giants is time well spent! The snorkeling site is one of the best places to see the rays (heard this from another tour operator earlier in the week) and is only a five minute boat ride to the site. That short boat ride is important on the return trip when you are wet! We saw many rays and it was exciting each time they swam right under the floats we were using! I heard one of the guides refer to this as the reverse petting zoo. We can’t touch them but they can touch us (barely, if that worries you). The staff is friendly and very helpful both in and out of the water. Shorty wetsuits or wetsuit jackets are provided to help keep you warm. We didn’t feel cold at all on the trip. There isn’t any lot parking, only on the side of the road so add a little time to ensure that you find parking and arrive in time.
