My experience with 1st Alaska tour can not be worse. They are highly unprofessional. The day of the travel, just before 4 hours of the trip to start, I got a call from them saying the tour has been canceled as the guide was sick. We booked this tour 2 months back as it gets booked very quickly and planed our entire Fairbanks travel plan around this. Knowing the trip being canceled hours before completely ruined our plans. Also, the representatives were extremely rude and unapologetic and hung up on me when for obvious reasons I got irritated. They didn’t even provided me with any alternative feasible solutions. They don’t have any alternative guide for such emergencies as well. These tours should understand by refunding the amount the problem doesn’t get solved for the tourists, with limited time in hand such last moment cancellations can completely ruin the experience. Highly disappointed with the unprofessional behavior of these guys!

Hello Debjit, As mentioned on the phone, we are extremely sorry that we had to cancel your trip. Our guide and backup guide happened to have emergencies. This almost never happens and we can not take precaution above this level. We did hang up the phone after you yelled at the office for over 10 minutes and we saw no reasoning or explanation was possible. We had a full tour that day and we like losing money and disappointing guests as little as you do. Furthermore, we offered you solutions by recommending another tour company that had open seats for the same tour you booked with us and other of our tours. As mentioned on the phone, a full refund was issued. Again, we are sorry for the emergency situation. Best regards,

Josh is the best tour guide ever! Sadly the aurora didn't peak out for us at all, but he made the trip fun all the way to the Artic Circle! He gave interesting facts about the land, the Alaskan pipeline, and life in Alaska in general! Warning: this is a long drive through the rough Dalton Highway. If you're not up for a serious roadtrip, this isn't for you. If you want to see various Alaskan views, book this now!

Josh was an awesome tour guide. He knew so much and his love of the area came through. Stops were amazing and right amount of time at each. Only comment is try to find a way to keep the windows from frosting over. It was frustrating not to see so much of the beauty around due to completely frosted over windows
