This was an amazing experience. Josh was prepared and professional. He made sure we were prepared and safe the entire 16 hours. Be prepared for a long day/night. Visiting the pipeline, the tundra, the beautiful vista's, the Arctic circle was amazing. Seeing a family of wolves and a lynx along the way was a bonus. The northern lights have eluded us for our 20+ day cruisetour in Alaska... until last night. Josh made sure we all got good photos. We stopped several times as they peeked out during our trip back from the circle. It's a trek to the circle on a bumpy muddy road, but that is the experience we expected.

Imagine experiencing the Northern Lights from the comfort of a heated yurt!! No need to sit in the van or car until they show themselves!! This is the adventure to buy. Bill picked us up from our hotel & drove us up old Murphy Dome Rd to the wonderful heated yurt. There’s hot chocolate, tea, coffee, cookies to enjoy while you wait for the lights to appear. Once they start your welcome to go outside & enjoy & shoot pictures or if it’s below zero with the wind chill sit inside & thaw out. I highly recommend insulated clothing or ski clothes & hand warmers. A once in a lifetime amazing experience!!

This trip was absolutely amazing. I was very skeptical about booking this tour because of the reviews I have read on social media saying that I will be stuck on a bus for 14 hours just to take a picture. Absolutely not what I experienced. Josh our tour guide was AMAZING!!! At the beginning of the tour he told us the run down of the trip, about the bathroom breaks and additional stops. A sandwich was provided for us I requested a veggie Sandwich and that is exactly what I received. Josh stopped frequently allowing us to take pictures with majestic views.. And, I must add he is a great photographer ( I am a solo traveler and did not have a tripod). Oh! He took us to the truck stop to pick up snacks and the greatest coconut cream pie, EVERRRR!! Not only did we get to cross the Yukon River We also walked on the frozen river GREAT PHOTO OPPS.. The highlight of my trip was a bird eating out of my hand because Josh is also a bird whisper and provided me with a corn chip and the bird ate it... AWESOMENESS!!! Again he took pics for me at the Artic Circle sign.. And the view was breathtaking. While at the highest point he provided us with hot non-alcoholic beverages to warm us up.. Then after all that greatness it got better he took us to Finger Mountain and we saw the sunset from the mountain, so magical. And, again he took pictures. Next, it was time to hunt for the Northern Lights.. He adjusted phones so people can take the best picture possible And, let me tell you it was freezing.. So, guess what he did next he offered us hand and toe warmers and BLANKETS!!! This Guy Right!!! After the first Stop the lights wasn't dancing he went to another spot trying to chase those darn lights but the would not dance that night. By that time I was exhausted and fell asleep but he stopped again yet the lights did not come out to play however, he tried his best for us to see them. He provided us with our certificates proof that we were at the Arctic Circle at the end of the excursion. I personally cannot speak for anyone else I can just say that Josh went above and beyond down to the last minute of my time with him. If you are having second thoughts. Just do it! And make sure Josh is your Guide, he is a Great Human.
