We met up with Jenn just before the tour started at 9am. Right off, I knew we were going to have a great tour. She was so very friendly from the very start. We met at Rockefeller Plaza and that is where our day started. The tour started with a little bit of walking seeing some different sights including St. Patrick's Cathedral, Saks Fifth Avenue, Radio City Music Hall, and some others. After about a 20 minute walk or so, we made it to the double-decker bus. Even though it was a pretty cool morning (high 20s/low 30s), with the covering on the bus deck, the worst of the wind/cold was kept off us. We rode through a lot of areas of Manhattan, getting great descriptions and history lessons/information from Jenn. She definitely knew a lot, spoke clearly and with enough volume where we could easily hear and understand her. We got off the bus down in the Financial district where we saw the Charging Bull, the NYSE, and some other sights before ending up at the 9/11 Memorial. Jenn did a wonderful job of pointing things out there and being reverent of the space at the same time. After some time there, we had a lunch break before the tour ending ferry ride. We boarded the ferry with some good advice from Jenn on how to navigate, etc for good views. The ride out to see the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty, while pretty cold, was really nice. Some great photo opportunities. The ferry ride ended uptown around Hudson Yards. We had about another 20 minutes of walking, getting great info about the area and future plans for it. The tour ended there and we were in a good spot to do some further exploring on our own. Jenn did an amazing job!!
