Awesome! Mario and Sofia were excellent instructors. We had surfed once before and were really impressed with how they brought energy and tricks that we didn't hear our last time. The rashguard shirts help and having 2 full hours gets your training done so you have more time on the water - but plan to be that much more tired. Worth it though. We all got up for multiple waves and had a blast.

We booked two lessons on different days with Keep It Simple to learn how to surf with our three daughters (ages 6,8, and 10). I wasn’t expecting us all to surf so quickly! They have a great location for beginners and give a detailed (but not too long) safety lesson and are very encouraging and patient with all. These guys are so sweet with kids! I highly recommend using them to get you out on the waves quickly and effectively! We had so much fun with them!

We found Keep It Simple Hawaii through our hotel concierge at the Montage, and could not have been more pleased with our experience! First we booked them for a private Road to Hana tour (which was absolutely amazing) that I expected to be the highlight of our trip. It was a fantastic day... and then we started surfing. My kids loved it so much we booked a second day. The lesson started with a brief safety lesson, which is always important to do with young children (mine are 10, 8 and 6) - they are excellent swimmers but this was their first time surfing. Once we got out on the water - and yes, even I was convinced to try it and I wasn't planning to! - we all caught waves fairly quickly. The instructors made it so easy for us to build confidence and get the hang of it. They were warm, friendly, super helpful and great teachers. My kids didn't want the lesson to end! (hence, day two.) There was also a photographer on hand to help chronicle this once in a lifetime experience for our family... it was truly the highlight of our entire trip! I could not have been more pleased with Keep It Simple and Matthias is absolutely wonderful! We hope to see him again,
